If you have registered or plan to register for PHSD 2024 held at Silver Star Mountain, here is some information that will help you with accommodation and meal arrangements.

Students are expected to make their own arrangements for accommodation and meals. Most Hotel rooms have fully equipped kitchens. Be sure to check for this when you book.

There are a number of hotels at Silver Star and most offer a special rate for PHSD students. They are very close to where classes are held.

The Vance Creek Hotel takes bookings for two hotels, Vance Creek Hotel and the Chilcoot Hotel and Conference Centre.

The Bulldog Hotel is also very close to where classes are held. It can be reached at 250-542-2459

If you are flying in, Kelowna is the closest airport to Vernon and Silver Star Mountain. It is an hour and a half drive from the airport to Silver Star. You may want to stock up on groceries in Vernon before going up the mountain to Silver Star.

There are two or three restaurants at Silver Star and a coffee shop and bakery on site. Their baked goods are amazing.

The Penticton Scottish Festival will be held on Saturday, July 6th. Many PHSD attend these games on their way to Silver Star. It is a 2 - 3 hour drive from Penticton to Silver Star.

The Kamloops Highland Games are July 13th.
