Perform in Concert with the 6-time World Champion, SFU Pipe Band
To help celebrate the 20th anniversary of Piping Hot Summer Drummer, the SFU Pipe Band will be performing a concert on Sunday afternoon, July 14, 2013 at the Vernon and District Performing Arts Centre.
All 2013 registered students at PHSD are invited to SHARE THE STAGE WITH SFU. This is a chance of a lifetime and we encourage all our piping, drumming and dancing students to not miss this amazing opportunity! For students registering only for Week 1, we encourage you to stay on a couple of days longer if you can. Participate at the Kamloops Highland Games on Saturday, July 13th and then take part in the SFU concert on Sunday, July 14th. For those students registering for Week 2, the performance with SFU will be on the 1st day of the school, week 2.
This is a rare and amazing opportunity to SHARE THE STAGE WITH SFU! Students registered for PHSD will not automatically receive a ticket to watch the concert because you are IN the concert. If you would like to purchase a ticket to watch the portion of the concert that you are not in they are available at the discounted price of $15. Concert tickets are available for families and friends for $25.

Music and Dance Instruction
At PHSD we really enjoy teaching students at all levels. Whether you are a beginner, a professional or any level in between we will make this a fantastic experience for you. You will receive over six hours or formal instruction each day in classes structured according to your experience and interest.
Our classes are geared to you and what you are most interested in learning. For those pipers who are especially enthusiastic about Piobaireachd, there is a plenty of excellent instruction available from Donald Lindsay, Jack Lee, Stuart Liddell
and others.

Individual Instruction
While at PHSD, you will be able to work on solo competition tunes and scores, learning new tunes or steps, or just getting advice on any aspect of your piping, drumming or dancing.
There are spots available each day for private lessons with our instructors. Pipers also get the chance to be “adjudicated” each day in a relaxed setting
