 Jack Lee

Jack has been one of the World’s leading pipers for 50 years. He is one of few pipers in history to have won every major piping prize in the world on at least one occasion. His enthusiasm for everything “Piping Hot” is incredible.

Jack’s company (Lee and Sons Bagpipes) produces outstanding pipes, pipe bags and reeds. Jack “turned on the recorder” 40 years ago and has compiled the world’s largest bagpipe audio library - all available at Bagpipemusic.com

J. Reid Maxwell

Reid has an amazing record of accomplishments at the top in the pipe band world. Apart from his six World and four World Drum Corps titles with SFU, Reid has won the titles with two other Grade 1 bands, one of them as lead drummer! He has also appeared in the final of the World Solo Drumming Championship on many occasions, and he teaches drummers and drum corps all across the World. Callum Beaumont

Callum is one of the World’s most respected and successful pipers. He won his breath-taking 4th clasp in 2019, all before the age of 30. No piper has ever won so many great piobaireachd prizes at such a young age. Callum plays a key role instructing piping at Dollar Academy in Scotland and we are delighted to have him back at PHSD. In 2023, he won the Glenfiddich Championship, the Silver Star at Inverness and the Sun Belt Championship among other prizes. Callum was the 2025 Glenfiddich Champion, and this won the Inverness Former Winners MSR Silver Star, once again qualifying him for the Glenfiddich.

P/M Stuart Liddell

Stuart is one of the most gifted and famous pipers in the World today. His list of solo piping accomplishments is really incredible, and you can safely say “He has done it all.” Stuart’s Inveraray and District Pipe Band were the 2017, 2019, 2024 and 2025 World Champions. This year, Stuart won both the Oban Former Winners Piobaireachd and the Clasp at Inverness, the two biggest piobaireachd prizes you can win.

Steven McWhirter

Steven won his 12th World Solo Drumming title in 2024, coming back from a 2nd place finish in 2023 following 10 wins in a row! He is LD of the Inveraray and District Pipe Band, who have been consistent winners at the top level for a number of years. Steven is an experienced and gifted teacher as well as a fantastic performer. Don’t miss your chance to learn from one of the greats!
